Father & Daughter Conversation

Father: My Daughter, take a minute to sit down. I want to talk to you
Daughter: (sits down)
Father: Now, is something troubling you, My Daughter?
Daughter: No, Father. It’s nothing.
Father: Daughter, please. I am the LORD God, the King of Kings and I am also a concerned
and patient Father that loves you too much to see you down like this.
Daughter: Well, Father, I am sad, worried, and miserable.
Father: Why? What is it you wanted?
Daughter: All I ever wanted was to be Happy, Father. I mean, every time I see others living happy lives having it all such as a happy relationship/marriage, great job, perfect families of their own, and they even get to travel a lot to see different places and faces. And why? Why can’t I be happy just like that?
Father: Ah-ha! So that’s what bothering you. My Daughter, you don’t have no idea what all the others have been through to get to where they are now.
Daughter: I just wished I had a happy life, Father. That’s all. (hung her head down and cried)
Father: Now, now. Don’t go looking like that, My little flower. I’m not a genie and I don’t grant wishes. And you know that. In due time, I’m going to bless you as twice as much of the desires of your heart, too.
Daughter: When, Father? When? You know I’ve been trying so hard. I’ve been praying harder as I could. I’ve been faithful of serving. When will I ever get what my heart’s desire?
Father: In MY timing, my dear. In My perfect timing.
Daughter: You know I’m trying to cling on to Your promises, Father. I mean, if only You’d blessed me with what I asked for, everything will be fine with me.
Father: Now, you see? That’s where my children makes the mistake. You can’t rush Me to bless you with what you want just make yourself feel better. Get YOURSELF together first, then I’ll bless you with what you ask of me. (extends His hands) Come, my dear. Come to Father.
Daughter: (sat beside Him and weeping)
Father: (comforts her and rocked her in His arms) There, there. Daughter?
Daughter: Yes, Father?
Father: Do you remember my servant Job?
Daughter: Yes.
Father: Do you know the story?
Daughter: Yes.
Father: What did Job do when he lost everything he had, my dear?
Daughter: Well. (sniffles) Job didn’t sin and he didn’t blame you for what happened. He tore his robe, shaved his head, threw himself on the ground and worshiped, saying: “The LORD gaveth, and the LORD taketh away; Blessed be the name of the LORD!”
Father: Now, when all the damaged has been done, what did I do at the end of Job’s story?
Daughter: You’ve blessed Job twice as much of what he had before.
Father: That’s right, my dear. Now look into my eyes.
Daughter: (looks up)
Father: I want you to have the same attitude just like my servant Job had. I want to you WAIT just like him. Do you remember the miracle that my Son did when a little boy gave his lunch to Jesus to feed the 5,000 hungry souls? Hmm?
Daughter: Yes, Father. I remembered it very well.
Father: Well that’s EXACTLY my point. Now, if I can bless Job with twice as much as he had before, I’ll do the same for You. Even if my Son can perform that kind of miracle, TRUST ME, I still can do the same for you, too. So, My Daughter, do you trust me?
Daughter: (looks up, smiles, and nodded) Yes, Father. I trust You with all my heart.
Father: (smiled) That’s my little princess!
Daughter: I love you, Father. (Hugs Him)
Father: I love you too, my little Princess (Hugs her)

First God, First Love (Part 2)

And now the continuing story of  First God, First Love

At the same hour of the day, Sapphira stood in awe when she met Paul, she decided to accept his offer of going to get coffee. They both went to Krispy Kreme, had coffee, ate a couple of doughnuts, and they began having a conversation.

“So, Mr. Paul, tell me about yourself. You already know about me based on what Sarai have told you,” said Sapphira. “Ok, ma’am,” chuckled Paul. “As you can see, I am the owner of my own company when I do more than creating more business opportunities to help future graduates get jobs and scholarships. I am a multimillionaire working diligently with business folks.” “Wow! I’m very impressed. You’re very much successful like Donald Trump,” said Sapphira. She and Paul laughed. “Well, I’m flattered when you said that,” says Paul. “I am also a devoted church-goer, too. I am not ashamed to say that I am a soft-hearted man who love God more than anything.” “That’s wonderful, Paul,” says Sapphira. “Now, it may sound ridiculous, but do you have a wife and children?”  Paul chuckled and said, “No, I am single with no kids. I’m just a patient business man that’s waiting for God to bless me with a wonderful woman to be my wife.” “Really? I am single businesswoman myself, and I’m waiting on God to bless me with a wonderful husband,” said Sapphira.

As they spent their quality time enjoying each other’s company, both Paul and Sapphira knew that they’ll find true love. Within the next few hours, Sapphira went home, had dinner, and talked for a while with her mother. “Say, Mama, I had a great day today,” said Sapphira. “Really? Tell me about it,” said Mama. “Well, Ma, Sarai had introduced me to a phenomenal man who wanted give my company his fundings,” says Sapphira. “Why, that’s amazing, Sapphire! Tell me more,” says Mama. “Don’t keep your mother in suspense.” “Okay. His name is Paul and he offered me to go for some doughnuts and coffee and just enjoying each other’s company,” explained Sapphira. “Mmmm, that’s swell, Baby girl,” says Mama. “I just hope you’d be very careful because you wouldn’t want to mix business with pleasure. Since you told me what his name was Paul, he is a very intelligent young man.” “Ma, how’d you know him?” asked Sapphira. “His mother and I are great friends and classmates,” explained Mama. “After they had their conversation, Sapphira prepared herself for work on the next day.

The next morning, Sapphira and Sarai were in the conference room discussing some changes in her company. Surprisingly, Paul showed up and announced, “On tomorrow, I’ll be hosting a party as a celebration of Sapphira’s company in partnership for my company.” Everybody was so excited about the announcement, they all agreed! Sapphira couldn’t help but to sit there and smiled at Paul and he couldn’t help but to smile back and winked at her. “Thank you so much for that, Paul. You really shouldn’t do it,” said Sapphira. “I’m doing this from my heart, Sapphira. It’s my way of showing love,” said Paul. “Wait a minute, are you trying to mix business with pleasure by flirting with me?” asked Sapphira. “Well, no I am not,” says Paul. “I personally want to talk to you.” “Okay, um, if you want, care to join me at Red Lobster after work?” she asked. “Certainly,” Paul answered. For a few hours, Sapphira and Sarai were in the lounge and they started to have a little girl talk.

“So, Sapphy, I see you’re glowing so do you mind telling me what’s happening,” said Sarai. “Well, I believe I am being attracted to the guy that wanted to be partners with my company,” said Sapphira. “You mean, Paul?!” asked Sarai. “Yes,” answered Sapphira. “Wow, that’s real good. Who knows? He might like you,” Sarai said. “Really, I appreciate that, but I really don’t want mix business with pleasure,” explained Sapphira. “I understand that, Sapphy. Just give Paul a chance and pray about it,” said Sarai. Afterward, Sapphira and Paul met up at Red Lobster for dinner and they’ve really enjoyed themselves. “Paul, you’ve got to let me pay this because I’m the one who planned it,” said Sapphira. “No, no, Sapphira. It is I who pay for this. No arguments there,” said Paul. “Now that we’re here enjoying ourselves, what is it you want to talk about?” she asked. “I want to tell you that I am very fond of you,” says Paul. “I mean, I am very much interested in you. We’ve been friends and business partners for a while and I was wondering if you are interested in me.” “Well, Paul, you really are a great man to even say such honest things to me,” says Sapphira. “You do have the major qualities that I’m looking for in a man so, yes, I am interested in you.” Paul smiled and said, “You know, I really think you’re beautiful.” “Thank you, and I really think you’re handsome,” smiled Sapphira. “Thank you, but, um, can I call you ‘Sapphire’?” asked Paul. “Of course you can, even my mother calls me that all the time,” she said. “Well then, from now on, I will call you Sapphire because you’re a beautiful but you’re worth way more than  sapphires,” said Paul. Sapphira sat there with a smile and tears started rolling down her face because she was so amazed by what Paul just told her. When they looked into each other’s eyes, they finally knew that they have found true love!

One night, Paul and Sapphira had a successful party. Everybody had a great time. They have plenty of food, champagne, business partners and so much more. A few months later, Paul and Sapphira have been dating and things was falling into place perfectly.  One day, Sapphira and Paul went to his mother’s house for a Sunday dinner. Her name is Pauline. Sapphira’s mother Elizabeth, was helping with the cooking so everyone were having great time! “So, I see you and my son are getting along really well,” said Pauline. “Yes, ma’am, your son has been a perfect gentleman,” said Sapphire. “He better be,” says Pauline. “My son really knows how to treat a lady because I raisied him better than that.” “I see,” said Sapphira. “Oh, mom, you know I got this,” says Paul. “I’m the type of man who treats his woman like a princess is proof that he has been raised by a queen.” “You see, that’s what I call a real man,” said Elizabeth. “That’s my boy,” said Pauline. “See, that’s what I love about your son,” says Sapphira. “Your son is so poetic and God-fearing.” “Why, Sapphire sweetie, I’d love to have you as my daughter -in-law because God has just finished writing your love story,” said Pauline. “Don’t you agree, Liz?” “Of course I agree, Pauline,” says Elizabeth. “I’d love to have a son-in-law like your boy.”  Everyone enjoyed themselves.

One day, Sapphira was walking down the street carrying groceries to her car. Suddenly, there were two guys walking behind her and tried to cause trouble. One pushed all of her things out of her hands and the other touches her on the behind. Sapphira screeched. “What’s a pretty lady like you walking all alone?” said the man. “Get away from me,” she yelled. The guy pushed Sapphira to the back of the car and the other takes her purse. “Don’t you talk to me like that again, you trick,” said the man. As much as she tries to defend herself, the two guys attacked her and put her in the trunk of her own car. While they drove off, Sapphira called the cops on her cellphone. When they cops tracked the call, they immediately chased the two guys. When they finally escaped, they got out and let Sapphira’s car run out into the bridge and sunk at the bottom of the ocean with Sapphira inside screaming for help. As the two guys laughing, there was a hand that patted on the guy’s shoulder. When the first guy turned around, Paul punched him the face. The other guy tried to cut Paul with a pocket knife, but Paul kicked him in the chest and they guy fell on the bricks. As soon as the cops arrived, Paul dived in the water and swam to save Sapphira. When Paul was swimming deeper to the depths of the ocean, he saw Sapphira’s white Cadillac CTS and Sapphira was screaming for help. Paul swam closer to the car and got Sapphira out of the trunk of the car.

As they were brought up to the surface gasping for air, Sapphira told Paul and the police what had happened. Once they took her statement and handcuffed the two bad guys, Paul said, “Good thing I was here to save you.” “Thank God you saved me,” says Sapphira. “Now I’m sad because I ain’t got no car, no money, nothing! I knew I should’ve been a little more careful of walking alone.” She began to cry and Paul said as he lifted her chin, “Sapphire, don’t worry about what you don’t have.  As long as you got God, that’s all you need. After all, you’re still beautiful.” Without another word, they both went home and gotten cleaned up.

Meanwhile, Paul went to his secret place to have a talk with God. “Lord, I thank you for being willing enough to come see about me. As you can see, I am ready to be a husband. If only you knew how much I wanted a wife, you’d understand. I wonder if Sapphira is the one for me?” And then, a gentle voice said, “Paul, my son, I’ve raised you to be a better man, and I taught you to delight yourself in Me and I’ll give you the desires of your heart. If you truly love Sapphira why don’t you let her know? I mean, I’ve hidden her in my heart so that you would seek ME first diligently. Because of you that feared Me, severed Me, seek Me and Loved ME more than anything, I’ll give you Sapphira as gift from Me.”  “Thank you, Lord, for my miracle!” cried Paul.

Two days later, Paul and Sapphira went out on a date in the park. The park was so beautiful it’s filled with white flowers and there was a swing on the tree. While they were sitting the swing, they both started talking. “Paul, tell me something,” said Sapphira. “Sure,” Paul said. “Do you like me?” she asked.

“No,” he said. She asked, “Do you think I’m pretty?” He said, “No.” She asked, “If I was to walk away now, would you cry?” He said “No.” Sapphira was so shocked she turned to walk away. Paul caught her arm and said, “Sapphire, I don’t like you. I LOVE you. I don’t think you’re pretty. I think you’re BEAUTIFUL. If you were to walk away now, I won’t cry. I’ll DIE. And most of all, I thank GOD that He sent you my way because I know you’re meant for me.” As Sapphira and Paul looked into each other eyes, they began to kiss each other on the lips.

Finally, Valentine’s Day arrived and it’s Sarai’s Wedding Day. As Sapphira help Sarai with her dress, she gathered the ladies to say a prayer to Sarai and Paul did the same for Abram along with the guys. The wedding ceremony was great success. But then at the wedding reception, everybody was having a good time. Sapphira caught the bouquet and Paul caught the garter. At that very moment, the party paused  and everybody wondered what’s going on.

When Sapphira turned around, Paul was on one knee with a 24 karat princess – cut diamond with sapphires around it in his hand. “Paul, Oh my God,” cried Sapphire. All eyes are on Paul and Sapphira proposing. He said, “Sapphira,  I love you and I believe that God had sent you from above. I’m your Boaz that you’ve waited patiently for me in the fields of wheat. I’m your King Xerxes that’ll treat you like a Queen. Most of all, I treasure you like a Diamond, and not a cubic zirconia. With that being said, will you be my wife?”

Sapphira cried for joy and said, “Paul, yes! I will be your wife!”

Sapphira married Paul and they lived in happiness of their lives, and they both learned that as long they continue to keep God first, they will always be one step ahead of the others who doubted them.

THE END

First God, First Love

*This story is dedicated to all the single ladies who are struggling of being single.*

Once there was a lovely young lady named Sapphira. She was the most beautiful lady with a kind heart and she is also a single woman without any children and a baby daddy. Even though she felt like she’s pretty but she was sad to think that she’s not pretty enough to be a wife to a husband.

One day Sapphira went to work at the company of her own called Equal Creations. She was a talented hardworking woman. She designed many graphics, do business cards, design logos, and much more. Each day she spent dealing with her clients, her co-worker and best friend Sarai passes by to greet her and help her with the business. As time flew by, Sarai offered Sapphira to join her for lunch.

“Say, Sapphy, come go with me to get something to eat. I know you’re hungry,” said Sarai.

“Mmm, I don’t feel up to it, girl, I gotta finish printing out these two documents in 15 minutes,” said Sapphira. “Girl, I got that taken care of,” says Sarai. “You can’t be all tied up in your office all day long on an empty stomach.” Sapphira groaned, “Oh, alright. Let me get me purse.” So Sapphira and Sarai went out to lunch at Chilli’s. While they’re enjoying their lunch, they both start having a conversation.

“Say, you know that I’m getting married to Abram next month, right?” Sarai said.

“Yep,” answered Sapphira. “So I wanted to know if you can be my bridesmaid,” said Sarai. Sapphira sighed, “I never been in a wedding as a bridesmaid before so that would be an honor to be your bridesmaid.” “Goody,” smiled Sarai. “Why, Sapphy, you don’t seemed to be a bit pleased,” she said with a concerned look on her face. “I am pleased. Really I am,” said Sapphira. “What’s on your mind, girl? You know you can always talk to me about anything,” said Sarai. “It’s nothing. It’s just that I wish I had me husband, sis,” Sapphira frowned. “Oh, girl, don’t be looking all down and out like that,” says Sarai. “You’ll be a great wife someday so you just got to be patient.” “I know, sis, I know,” says Sapphira “I don’t want to rush love so I have choice but to be patient.”

For a few hours later, Sapphira went home to her mother’s house.    Her mother was in the kitchen cooking dinner. “Hey, mama,” said Sapphira. “Hey, sweetie,” replied Mama. “How’s work?”

“Busy, busy, busy,” Sapphira. “That’s alright, at least you’re blessed,” said Mama “Yep, you’re right, Mama,” said Sapphira. While they’re eating dinner, Sapphira’s mother noticed how quiet her daughter has been. “You’re eating so quietly, my dear. Is something troubling you?” she asked. “No, Mama,” answered Sapphira. “Sapphire, my dear, please. I raised you better than that and I’m a concerned Mom,” said Mama. “Well, Ma, my best friend Sarai asked to be her Bridesmaid in her wedding next month and I’ve accepted it,” said Sapphira. “What wonderful news! When will she get married?” asked Mama. “During Valentine’s Day,” said Sapphira. “Oh. To who?” “Abram, my classmate I met in college.”

As Sapphira frowned, her mother said, “Now don’t go looking all sad like that. In due time, God’s gonna bless you with a wonderful husband, too.” “When, mama?” asked Sapphira. “I’ve been saved, I’ve prayed, I’ve read the Bible, and I’ve been going to church doing His work. When will my husband ever gon’ come?” “In God’s timing, sweetie, not yours,” says Mama. “God’s timing s valuable.” “You know, I’m trying not to give up on HIM, but I felt like if God would just go ahead on and give me a husband right now, I will be so happy,” explained Sapphira. “Now, you see. That’s where a lot of people makes their mistake. You don’t get a husband to make yourself feel better. Get yourself together first then you can think about a husband,” explained Mama.

Sapphira thought more and more her mother’s words. She realized that she need to spend more time praying to God for the husband she desires. That night, Sapphira took a warm bath, rolled up her hair, said her prayers, went to bed, and typing on her cellphone. Until at last, Sapphira felt fast asleep and began to dream.

(Sapphira’s Dream begins)

Early one morning, Sapphira woke up, took a shower, get dressed, had breakfast, and went off to work. As she was typing up a document on her computer, there was a tall, handsome gentleman passing by her office. Sapphira smelled an amazing fragrance of cologne and she looked up and saw the gentleman approaching in her office. “Hello, Ms. Sapphira,” said the gentleman. “Hello,” replied Sapphira. “May I help you?” “Yes, I would to know if you know how to do a resume. My sister wanted one so she can get a job,” he explained. “Certainly,” she said. “Um, what is your name?” “I’m Elah,” he answered.

So Sapphira and Elah became business partners and the business was going smoothly. But as for Sapphira’s best friend, Sarai, she was’nt feeling to happy about Sapphira doing business with Elah. “I really want to be happy Sapphira but there’s something about this Elah that doesn’t seem right.” Sarai thought. For a moment, Elah offered Sapphira to go out on a date. So she agreed and she became so excited she had to tell Sarai. “Say, girl, I got me a date!” said Sapphira. “Really? With who?” asked Sarai.

“Elah,” answered Sapphira. “What’s up with you and this Elah, anyway? I mean, do you think smelling his cologne makes you think he’s the one for you?” asked Sarai with a serious look on her face. “What, are you jealous? I mean, I had never been jealous with you and Abram so why you being like this?” asked Sapphira. “No, I’m jealous,” says Sarai. “I’m only concerned about you and the decisions you’re making towards a guy like Elah.” Sapphira sighed, “Look, I appreciate your concerns but I’m happy as I am and so should you be happy for me,”says Sapphira. Without another word, Sapphira walked to her car and Elah was getting in the car and went home to get ready for their date.

Their date night was amazing for them at Red Lobster. After their dinner date, Elah took her to his house to sit and chill in the hot tub together. While they’re in the hot tub, they started to have more conversation with each other. “You know, I really like you, Sapphira. And you are a beautiful,” Elah said. “Thank you, I think you are one fine guy. And I really like you, too,” she said. “As they looked into each other’s eyes, they knew they were madly in love with each other. When things got so intense, Sappira and Elah started kissing each other on the lips.

One Saturday, Sapphira introduced Elah to her mother, but her mother became very suspicious. “How long have you known my daughter, young man,” asked Mama. “A quite of few weeks,” said Elah. “Mmph,” scoffed Mama. Sapphira didn’t feel comfortable by the way her mother acted towards Elah.

A couple of hours later, after Elah left, Sapphira and her mother started arguing about Elan. “Sapphira, what would you thinking? You shamed me,” said mama. “Ma, why can’t you be happy that I’ve found the man of my dreams?” asked Sapphira. “You’re being foolish, Sapphira,” scolded Mama. “Just because you met a man at work don’t mean he’s the one for you, and you know better than that.” “Look, I don’t need you judging me on how I should my life,” Sapphira snapped. “I have the right to love whoever I please!” “How dare you raise your voice at me?!” said Mama. “I am your mother and I’m telling you this for your own good. Elan is not the right one for you. He’s not chosen by God.” “Ma, Elan’s God-fearing. He knows the Bible, so what?” said Sapphira. “Sapphira, listen to me please,” says Mama. “Just because Elan knows the Bible doesn’t mean he’s a saint. Is he saved?” Sapphira shook her head. “I didn’t think so,” said Mama.

The next day, Sapphira moved in with Elan and they ended up being a relationship. Sapphira spent a lot of time with Elan than she does with her best friend Sarai and her business. Things seems to be good until something evil is about to happen, and Sapphira will learn a bitter lesson about being desperate to have a man who is a devil in disguise.

One afternoon, Sapphira came home from the grocery store with her hands full groceries. When she opened the door, she called Elah out to let him know she’s home and help her with packages. There was no response. Sapphira became very suspious. As quiet as the house is, she heard a squeaking sound coming from the stairs. So she decided to do an investigation. Sapphira walked quietly up the stairs and before she can do anything, she Elah seducing another woman.

Elah and the woman looked up at Sapphira in shocked. It hurted Sapphira so bad, she ran away and Elah yelled, “Sapphira, wait! SAPPHIRA!!” Sapphira drove away in rage. Her eyes were red, tears were flying from her eyes and got far away from Elah’s house.

Sapphira hid herself in a hotel without any contact with anyone. She weeps and said, “What have I done? I deserve it! If I haven’t been so stupid, none of this would’ve happened! Mama’s right and Sarai’s right. I should’ve NEVER fallen in love with Elan in the first place. Now I will have to suffer the consequences. I deserve to be punished, lied on, and cheated on because of my foolish pride.”

But then, there was a soft quiet voice speaking to Sapphira. “No, you are not,” it said. “Who are you?” she asked. “I am the Lord God, your Father in heaven.” He answered. “Don’t be afraid, Sapphira. I have been where you’ve been after this happened.” “But why this?” she asked. “I allow things to happen for a reason. It’s my way of teaching you lessons so you won’t be tempted to do it all over again,” God explains. “Don’t you think you’re too beautiful to be with someone like Elan?” “No, I don’t. Not after I’ve been so stupid and too blind to see the truth in all this,” she said. “And for you to call me Beautiful? Look at me! I’m nothing but a foolish girl and you THIS ‘Beautiful’?!“  God stretch out His finger, gently lifted her chin up, and said, “Yes, Sapphira. I do. In spite of your wrongs, you ARE beautiful! I crafted and made you in the image of ME. No matter, you are forgiven. You are too beautiful to be lied on, cheated on, and to be disrespected. I know that you are heartbroken but you must know how to treat it as a blessing, and you must understand that it’s my way of rescuing you from the wrong man. Be thankful for that.”

“I thank you for that, but I still wish I have someone to love me, cherish me, and value me like a queen as I deserved,” said Sapphira. “I know what you can do,” says God. “You can start with me. Start by getting to know Me. You don’t have to worry about love because as long as I’m existing you WILL be loved. You don’t even have to worry about being single because I’m saving you for someone special. What’d you say?” “Well, I give you a try and see how it’ll work out,” replied Sapphira.

For a few hours, Sapphira spend her time with God. She prayed 3 times a day, attended church every Sunday as possible, and her whole Christian life was falling into place perfectly. Sapphira’s life-changing experience has brought great joy and happiness to her mother and Sarai. As for her business, it expands.  And as for Elan? He was never seen again. He got arrested for battery against former girlfriend, drugs, and perjury. Furthermore, Elan spent all of his life behind bars.

A month later, Sapphira was completing her work to go pay her bills on her way to lunch. As soon as she get to her car, Sarai stopped her to introduce her to someone. “Sapphy, wait a minute. I have somebody I want you to meet,” Sarai said. “Sarai, I’ve been down that road before, and I’m not going through it again,” said Sapphira. “Girl, could you trust me on this, please? Can’t you just say Hello? (whispering) We need his funding,” said  Sarai. “All right,” says Sapphira. “Where is he?” As soon as Sarai looked behind Sapphira, there approached a nice-looking gentleman. Sapphira couldn’t believe her eyes. “Hi. I’m sorry for bothering you. I’m Paul, and Sarai and her husband has told me everything about you,” said the man. “I was wondering if you would to get some coffee?” Sapphira couldn’t help but smile.
