From the beginning God had a divine plan for His family. He created a beautiful world and a beautiful young man to inhabit it. The story is told in Genesis 2: *”And God said, ‘It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him’ “* (verse 18). Notice God didn’t say He’d make him a helper inferior to him. We as ladies should understand that we are not an afterthought in God’s mind. The first thing God did was put man to sleep. Then He took a bone from his rib:* “Then the rib which the Lord had taken from man He made a woman” *(verse 22). God took a from the man’s side, perhaps to encourage the man to walk beside the woman and keep her near to his heart. Adam proclaimed: “*This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh”* (verse 23). Man and woman were one meaning they are equal beings with different roles.
Remember when I said before about what I was asked why I believe that so many Christian girls date guys or become interested in guys who are not believers, and that my response was simply because they are desperate to get and keep a guy like that regardless how fine he is? Well, here’s a tip. We ladies should be very cautious for the kinds of guys we allow in our lives. Encourage ourselves to hang around only with the kind of men who treat us with the honor and protection that God intended–the kind of men we can one day look up to to as head of our family. When those handsome “devils” come calling, we ladies must keep our eyes and heart on the kind of man who will cover her with love and dignity.
Now, a wise God-fearing male friend of mine kept it real when he said this piece and I want you all to really pay attention to this!! He stated: “Ladies want their mind and body caressed, not molested. Treat them with care, stay committed, and love them unconditionally, and they won’t hesitate to do whatever you want them to do, as long as she’s comfortable at where she resides.”
On that note, keep this in mind: God got us ladies covered when it comes to dealing with a prince (guy and men). He says, “I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” (1 Corinthians 11:3)
God is love,
